However, DPDC’s investigation has proved that the fire was not caused by a transformer explosion. After the devastating fire, DPDC formed a two-member probe committee headed by Dhaka Power Development Company Managing Director Bikash Dewan. The probe committee visited the area on Friday morning and conducted its investigation. Subsequently, Bikash Dewan said no DPDC transformer exploded during the blaze. The DPDC further said that they will switch on the transformers and start replacing wires and polls after completion of the cleaning work in the area.
