Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. [Jonah Onyango, Standard]Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is set to address the press on Monday evening at his official residence in Karen, Nairobi. According to a press invite sent to newsrooms, Gachagua will hold the press conference from 7 pm sharp, although the agenda of the briefing is still not known. The invite comes a day before his appearance before the National Assembly, where he is expected to respond to an impeachment motion tabled against him. The motion was tabled by Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse on October 1, 2024.
