This as an investigation is currently conducted by the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) on the circumstances behind the incident. LRTA Administrator Reynaldo Berroya ordered the creation of a fact-finding committee that will determine the cause of the train collision that left 30 passengers and four LRT-2 personnel injured. The DOTr and the LRTA assured that it would shoulder the medical expenses of the persons injured and provide them assistance. The incident resulted in the suspension of LRT-2 operations on Sunday morning as the trains involved in the collision were removed from the tracks.
