Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said the tourism industry has the potential to contribute to greater gender equality and empowering women. Speaking at a recent forum in Manila, the tourism chief said that the tourism industry has opened up 5.3 million job opportunities for Filipinos in 2017. This is our first step to achieving a gender-responsive tourism industry,” she added.
