MANILA, Philippines — Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III vowed that no employee of the fire-stricken NCCC Mall in Davao City will be displaced as he ordered the release of P30 million worth of assistance Thursday. The aid, which will benefit more than 2,000 employees, will cover the emergency employment of the workers or their dependents for 30 days. NCCC earlier assured that its 616 regular mall workers will not lose their jobs and continue to receive their salaries as they will be reassigned to other businesses.
