Share TweetBy Leslie Ann AquinoThe Department of Labor and Employment National Capital Region has issued a work stoppage order against a construction project of Momentum Construction and Development Corporation in Sampaloc, Manila following an accident which reportedly led to the death of a worker. According to DOLE, the reported accident involving the death of one worker happened on July 14, 2019 at the Momentum Construction and Development Corp. project located at Piy Margal St. corner Dos Castillas St. During the interview with the Safety Officer of Momentum Construction, the victim was identified as Mr. Jhon Erick Marcoso, a steelman from a subcontractor engaged with Momentum Construction,” the order read. Labor Inspection Auditors of DOLE also noted the following findings such as no occupational safety and health program; no first aiders; an inadequate number of safety officers; no safety health nurse among others.
