However, the decision still depends on the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and Department of Finance (DOF), said the health chief. “Nurses are an important provider of healthcare, there can be no Universal Health Care without nursing care,” said the health chief. The Filipino Nurses United, a national organization of nurses, recently sought to increase the basic salary of nurses to P30,000.
