DOE: Power supply on elections ‘generally normal’ 18 SHARES Share it! Share TweetBy Philippine News AgencyThe power supply during Monday’s synchronized Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections was “generally normal,” the Department of Energy (DOE) reported on Tuesday. Some areas, however, experienced isolated tripping incidents, but these were immediately addressed by technical personnel on standby, the DOE said. The DOE also announced that based on the National Power Corp.’s (NPC) report, there was no outage reported by the NPC-owned power plants and independent power producers. The Casecnan and San Roque hydropower plants were placed on economic shutdown by the NPC System Operations, but the DOE said this did not affect the power supply chain during the election period.
