The residents of Moghbazar ward 35 area submitted the petition, signed by a person named Sahabuddin Ahmed, to DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam on Wednesday. The petition read: “We, the residents of New Eskaton and Gaus Nagar, prioritize preserving peace, discipline, and security in this area. “It has come to our attention that a firm provided false information to the government, and was allotted a building in New Eskaton. We strongly feel that this commercial firm will disrupt this residential area.”The petition concluded by stating: “We, residents hereby urge the honourable mayor to cancel the allotment to the above-mentioned commercial firm and preserve the integrity of this residential area.”
