At a program to tackle mosquito issues, the mayor said there will be a Mayor Award every year from 2020 for the best ward in the DNCC. He announced the Mujib Year Award for the ward that provides the best citizen service. He said if people help the DNCC, the dengue and chikungunya diseases can be neutralized very easily. Writer and columnist Syed Abul Maksud said citizens bear 90% the responsibility to prevent mosquitoes from spreading.
