"As I felt feverish, I did the test and the result came positive on Sunday night. At the same time my wife also tested positive," Atiq said. Alongside the mayor, several DNCC officials, including its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Selim Reza, and Atiq's Assistant Personal Secretary-2 Rishad Morshed also tested positive, confirmed ASM Mamun, the spokesperson of the city corporation. According to the DNCC officials, Atiq faced a crowd last week while visiting the cleaning activities at Godakhali canal in South Bishal area of Mirpur.
