On Friday, the news of a brutal and inhuman throat-slitting of a seven-year-old boy rocked the National Capital Region. However, the dastardly incident shows that even in schools children are not far from threat to their lives. Currently, the police are conducting the probe and a school staffer along with a driver and a bus conductor have been detained. This matter and many other cases of violent crimes against children must be resolved immediately. What’s worse is that many of these crimes go unreported for fear of social stigma.
