The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has sent letters to the two city corporations to start parking arrangements in several identified locations on a temporary basis. The parking arrangements will generate revenue as an e-token system will revenue will be generated by introducing parking arrangements in these places through e-token system. The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has decided to establish parking in 550 locations and the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has the matter under consideration. Concerned authorities say there is no parking system in the city’s shopping malls, schools, colleges or hospitals, and people are forced to park in the street. For them, parking arrangements can be made by online tokens.
