The Traffic Discipline Week will begin Sunday and end on March 23Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) begins “Traffic Discipline Week" from Sunday with a view to bring discipline in the streets and encourage people to follow traffic rules, said DMP Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Mir Rezaul Alam on Saturday. "The Traffic Discipline Week will be observed every month as part of its initiative to continue improving the trend of traffic discipline in the city streets,” DMP Commissioner said. In order to make the traffic discipline week a success, the city dwellers have been requested to cooperate, Mir Rezaul said. After the death of two students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College on Airport Road last year, the traffic week was observed which garnered huge support from the people. Although the members of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Rover Scout, BNCC and Bangladesh Girl Guides members were involved with the traffic police to make people aware about traffic law, this time no volunteers will be involved with the traffic week activities, the police official said.
