Mr. Sathasivam said that both Mr. Mohanlal and Ms. Usha had touched the lives of the youth in their respective fields of choice. He said both Mr. Mohanlal and Ms. Usha climbed the heights of success through diligence and dedication in spite of them having had no family legacy to claim. Delivering his convocation speech, Vice Chancellor K. Mohammed Basheer said the university took pride in honouring two towering personalities like Mr. Mohanlal and Ms. Usha in its golden jubilee year. Mr. Mohanlal and Ms. Usha addressed the gathering.
