Photo: MintNew Delhi: DCM Shriram Ltd on Wednesday reported a 68% decline in consolidated net profit at Rs50.71 crore for the quarter ended March mainly due to lower sales realisation in sugar business. Net profit, however, rose to Rs669.56 crore during the last fiscal from Rs551.68 crore in 2016-17. Total income from operations also rose to Rs7,062.67 crore in the 2017-18 fiscal from Rs6,163.96 crore in the previous year. Over the last few years, they said, the company has taken several steps to strengthen the sugar business.
