Through Twitter on Sunday, Inspector-General of Police Hillary Mutyambai said the DCI officer was placed in custody after the incident. The police chief indicated that the officer will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and assaulting a police officer. My attention has been drawn to a video circulating on social media of a civilian attacking a Traffic Police Officer. In the video widely circulated online, the DCI officer who is dressed in civilian clothes is seen assaulting a uniformed traffic cop, who appears calm and composed.
