Irish listed conglomerate DCC has completed the acquisition of United Propane Gas (UPG), materially expanding its presence in the US liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) market. The deal is DCC’s largest acquisition in LPG since entering the US fuel market in April 2018. DCC described the deal as “a further significant step” in the execution of its strategy to build a business of scale in the growing US LPG market. The combination will create the sixth largest business in the US LPG market. “Building a business of scale in the US LPG market provides DCC with a strong platform to provide our customers with their energy needs now and into the future.
