Police also seized 18 battery operated auto rickshaws, 70 sedative tablets and 9 mobile phones from the possession of the arrested, and rescued an auto rickshaw driver of Kushtia abducted by them. On August 2, an auto rickshaw driver identified as Rafiq Gazi from Bashundia in Jessore, regained consciousness after he was drugged unconscious by the auto rickshaw theft gang on July 28. Jessore DB police conducted a raid at Golabaria area of Gopalganj Sadar upazila on Wednesday night and arrested two of the three. Informed by the two, another was arrested and the gang’s stolen auto rickshaws were seized in another drive conducted at the Chourhash Fultala area of Kushtia Sadar upazila.
