A deal for DAA’s international arm to operate an airport in Saudi Arabia is valued at around €273m, new figures have revealed. DAA International, a subsidiary of the company responsible for Cork and Dublin airports, will serve as the airport operator for Red Sea International Airport in 2023, overseeing design consultancy, management, and operations. Semi-state DAA first announced it had signed a contract to operate the new Saudi airport in early 2021, but it did not disclose financial details at the time. TRSDC was established to develop The Red Sea Project, a Saudi tourism destination along the country’s west coast. In March, DAA International said it had won a multimillion-euro contract to manage Jeddah Airport in Saudi Arabia for the next five years.
