Nearly a month after he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband has been charged in the case. Paul Pelosi, 82, is facing charges of DUI with injury and driving with .08 percent blood-alcohol level or higher causing injury, the Napa County District Attorney's Office revealed late Thursday. The charges stem from a May 28th incident in which Pelosi, who was driving a 2021 Porsche, was involved in a collision with the driver of a 2014 Jeep, according to the California Highway Patrol. Although the Jeep struck Pelosi's vehicle, CHP investigators have determined he "was the proximate cause of the collision," charging documents reveal. Do you suspect the DA's office was holding off on filing charges to see whether they could avoid doing it all together?
