Today (Saturday): Hermine is somewhere around the Outer Banks of North Carolina near sunrise, and continuing to head northeast from there. Winds increase to around 20 mph from the north during the afternoon, with gusts near 30 mph. Winds are substantially higher at beaches to the east, where a long-duration wind and coastal flooding event is getting underway. Keep reading for the forecast through the weekend…Tomorrow (Sunday): As we start the day, Hermine is likely somewhere nearly due east, perhaps 200-250 miles or so. We might kick off another heat wave in the city, as highs rise to the mid-80s to around 90.
