Police were alerted to Fanling after a woman was struck by a van Tuesday morning. According to a video that leaked online today, a woman was cycling in Fanling at 7.38 am and attempted to turn right into the other lane as she reached the junction of Lok Yi Road and On Kui Street. She was then struck by a van that was unable to stop in time, causing the woman to bounce back and fall to the ground, with her belongings scattering all over the floor. A police spokesman stated that they had received a report of a cyclist in her 50s being struck by a van at the junction of Lok Yi Road and On Kui Street and was taken to the Prince of Wales Hospital for medical attention. There were some even stating that her actions could have caused bad consequences for the truck driver.
