Dutch prosecutors are investigating whether a vial of poison, believed to have been cyanide, was passed to Slobodan Praljak in detention days or weeks before his suicide in court. A post-mortem examination will take place but prosecutors confirmed yesterday that the Bosnian Croat warlord drank a “chemical product” from a small bottle moments after his 20-year sentence for war crimes was confirmed at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslav in the Hague.
