In a statement, a spokesperson of the Customs said officers intercepted two suspicious speedboats in the waters off Lau Fau Shan during the early hours of today, but a man on one of the speedboats jumped onto another speedboat and eventually left Hong Kong waters. The batch of suspected smuggled goods, including mobile phones, watches, electronic devices, medicines and milk formulas, was found in a secret compartment on the boat. Officers said the investigation is still ongoing.
