6,767 people have been caught while trying to illega­lly migrat­e to Europe­an Union countr­ies during the curren­t yearLAHORE: During the court hearings of the case over the killing of people who were trying to illegally migrate to European countries in Turbat last month, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) told the Supreme Court that as many as 6,767 people have been caught while trying to illegally migrate to European Union countries during the current year. Over 6,700 illegal Pakistani immigrants entered EU, SC toldAs thousands get deported from foreign countries on the grounds of being illegal immigrants, many continue to engage in the unlawful practice via illegal networks that dupe people into trafficking. Despite the FIA taking action, there is a dire need for a crackdown against trafficking groups in coordination with the border management forces of other countries, as these groups operate with assistance from those across the border.
