Cumbrian killer dies in prison while serving life for murder

Trelore was apprehended and sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 16 years. Now, the Prisons & Probation Ombudsman has announced an investigation will be carried out following his death in HMP Buckley Hall, Rochdale, on May 27, 2025. Upon arrival at a house on North Row, police found both Mr Trelore and Mrs Trelore with serious injuries. Following his treatment, Mr Trelore was charged with murder, which he initially denied - but changed his plea to guilty mid-way through the trial at Preston Crown Court. The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman launches an independent investigation whenever anyone dies in custody in England and Wales.
