IPOH: The government has been urged to review the civil servants' wage system. Cuepacs president Datuk Azih Muda said the system has not been reviewed for 17 years, and should be done to allow civil servants to cope better with the higher cost of living. "According to our survey, civil servant wages cannot cover the cost of living. Earlier in his speech, Azih also said the wages of the country's civil servants were 35% lower than most developed countries. He said all levels of civil servants should get a revised wage to prevent unfairness, which would create disharmony.
