Hasib Mohammad Rashid, 32, was arrested from Dhaka’s Mirpur area on Saturday, reports Bangla Tribune. On Feb 28, DNC officials busted the laboratory in the basement of a six-storey building in Dhaka’s Jigatala area. Officials said the facility was being used to produced crystal methamphetamine, which goes by the street name of “ice,” and MDMA, or Methyl enedioxy methamphetamine, commonly known as Ecstasy. Official seized a huge amount of ice and MDMA as well as chemicals and machinery from the lab and made three arrests, but the lab owner Hasib managed to flee, DNC Assistant Director, Md Khurshid Alam, said on Saturday.
