Crystal Palace head of academy coaching David Muir has left the clubDavid Muir has resigned from his role as head of coaching at Crystal Palace’s academy amid allegations of him making a racial slur. Palace's renowned academy oversees the development of players from junior to U23 level but Muir handed in his resignation earlier in March following a club investigation. "David Muir has resigned from his position as head of coaching at Crystal Palace Football Club," said a club spokesman. Muir had spent over a decade at the club, and had been in his most recent position since 2013. Wilfried Zaha, Victor Moses, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Nathaniel Clyne and Jonny Williams are among the players to have come through the Palace academy.
