The man, believed to be in his eighties, died suddenly on the Diamond Princess while it was docked at Napier Port on Thursday afternoon. Police and ambulance attended to the man, who suffered a medical event. The ship, which carries up to 2670 passengers, departed for Tauranga a short time after the man's death.
