Crude oil prices gained in the afternoon of Asia trading hours. The international benchmark Brent crude futures were up by 1.23 percent, at US$65.13 per barrel. U.S. crude futures gained by 0.95 percent to US$61.72 per barrel. The Japanese yen traded at 105.82 per dollar, weaker than levels below 105.6 against the greenback seen earlier this week. The Australian dollar was at US$0.775 after seeing levels around US$0.78 earlier in the trading week.
