Windsor director Kevin Stott's last-ditch attempt to get the Crown Estate to consider ‘five alternatives’ to Windsor & Eton FC's proposals for Stag Meadow appear to have failed with the Estate confirming this week they will not be considering any further proposals for the ground. However, Stott emailed Daniel Labbad, CEO of the Crown Estate, on Monday last week (June 5) suggesting an independent panel could be set up to judge which of the six proposals provided the best social value to the community. In his email to Mr Labbad, Stott suggested the following process: “We appoint an independent panel to oversee the process. “The independent panel chooses the winner.”Windsor do still hope to enter a senior team in the league this season and are currently exploring ground share options with four other clubs. “Once that is in place, and we know we're actually going to be playing, then everything will follow after that.”
