Brad Speden, of Christchurch, kicked off his more than 400-kilometre journey on November 29 – reaching Timaru on Friday and spending the next day relaxing in the South Canterbury town, before starting back up on Sunday. The journey, which Speden expected would take another two weeks, was to raise awareness and funds for the Passionate Sons Ministry. “I just want to show people that there is life outside of addiction.”JOHN BISSET/Stuff Brad Speden passed through Winchester on Thursday and reached Timaru on Friday.
