The UK Border Force coastal patrol vessel HMC Eagle carries migrants picked up in the Channel todayA number of cross-Channel migrants escaped from the authorities today as police rounded up a group that had arrived aboard a dinghy at a beach near Dover. Eleven migrants including two women were found near the beach but 15 lifejackets were counted nearby suggesting that others had slipped away after evading police officers. The group attempted to cross the A20 road leading to the port at about 9.30am when police arrived and detained them before they were handed over to Border Force officers to be processed.
