Former President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner returned to the City of Buenos Aires yesterday to celebrate the birth of her former friend and ally, late Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez. Two days ago, the Macri administration also dismantled the Hugo Chávez room in the Patria Grande house in Buenos Aires. She hinted at Argentines being swayed by media conglomerates and other interested groups that don’t have the people’s best interest in mind. Cristina went on to say that, “remembering Hugo is remembering someone who helped us in tough times. Cristina denied any wrongdoing and in return formally accused Stolbizer of mounting a smear campaign against her.
