The Portuguese attacker was spotted training at a stadium in Madeira (Picture: Getty)Cristiano Ronaldo has been criticised after he was pictured training at a football stadium in Madeira during the coronavirus lockdown last week, with one Lazio chief claiming it shows blatant favouritism. The island’s secretary of health warned Ronaldo over his conduct and now Lazio Director of Communications Arturo Diaconale has hit out at the Juventus star seemingly getting preferential treatment. If the Prime Minister says that we can return to training after May 3, we will all start organizing for that,’ Diaconale told Radiosei. ‘The difference is that we followed the rules and stayed at home, unlike others; I’ve seen videos from Portugal showing some marvellous images of Cristiano Ronaldo training out on a football pitch. Cristiano Ronaldo has the right to train as long as he respects the rules like all citizens, there is no privilege.’AdvertisementAdvertisementMORE: Rio Ferdinand jokes Manchester United star John O’Shea needed an oxygen tank after facing Cristiano RonaldoMORE: Cristiano Ronaldo warned over his secret training sessions during coronavirus lockdownFollow Metro Sport across our social channels, on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
