The crisis rocking the Social Democratic Party (SDP) on Monday, took another dimension, as a faction of the Party loyal to Professor Jerry Gana announced the suspension of its Acting National Chairman Professor Tunde Adeniran and Alhaji Shehu Gabam, the National Secretary and Vice Presidential Candidate respectivelyIt also approved the appointed Mr Supo Sonibare the former National Vice Chairman (South-west) as the Acting National chairman of the party. The National Chairman of the party, Chief Olu Falae had last weekend tendered his resignation following the adoption of President Buhari, the APC candidate as its Presidential candidate for the Poll. Consequently, Prof Tunde Adeniran, the Deputy National Chairman (South) was appointed the Acting National Chairman of Party before the new development. The Stakeholders meeting was attended by the members of the National Working Committee of the Party, States Chairmen, Prof Jerry Gana and some prominent members of the Party. Addressing the meeting earlier before going to its business session, Prof Gana advised members of the party to remain resolute and to continue with a vigorous campaign for the party and assured that victory was certain at the polls.
