Mombasa's many organised crime groups have never been shy to miss out on new opportunities - and there are a lot of them. A September report by EU-funded anti-crime initiative Enact says Kenyan law enforcement puts the number of organised crime groups operating there at 132. This, however, also allows organised crime groups "to facilitate the movement of illicit medications" - most of them from Asia. "Get these dealers into court and into jail as fast as possible to deter organised crime. The work is supported by a grant from the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organised Crime (GI-TOC).
