SportThe Matara Traders Association team led by Ruwin Kodituwakku regained the Matara Trade Association Challenge Cup defeating last year’s champions Dikwella Traders Association team by five runs at the Devinuwara public ground. In the preliminary rounds the Matara Traders overcame Devinuwara TA by nine wickets, Weligama TA by 7 runs and Deniyaya TA by 8 runs to reach the final. Teams from the Matara, Devinuwara, Dikwella, Weligama, Akuressa, Hakmana, Pitabeddara, Morawaka, Urubokka and Deniyaya traders association participated in this year’s Matara District Inter Traders Association Cricket Tournament while Kamburupitiya did not participate.
