Put in to bat first Sri Lanka 'A' posted 278 for 7 wickets in 48.1 overs and England Lions were given the target of chasing 278 runs in 43 overs under D/L method. Openers Kusal Perera and Danushka Gunathilaka put on 123 runs in 25 overs to pave way for a Sri Lanka win. At a point England Lions bounced back to put pressure on Sri Lanka 'A' as the home team was made to struggle at 191-6 in the 38th over. Siriwardana made 48 off 41 balls inclusive of five fours and two sixes while Perera remained unbeaten on 56 off 35 balls inclusive of five sixes and two fours.
