Crews douse Invercargill house fire

Crews were called to a house fire in Invercargill today. A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said when the first crew arrived at the scene the rear of a single storey building in Dipton St in Kingswell was burning well. A crew from Kingswell Station was called first about 3.10pm and then a crew from Invercargill Station responded. The fire, which was not being treated as suspicious, was extinguished by the crews about 4pm.
