A fire south of Penticton, B.C., is 50 per cent contained this morning, say officials. The fire is near Green Lake Road, southwest of Okanagan Falls and is six hectares in size. It's one of two fires that started in the Okanagan on Sunday night — the other being north of West Kelowna, where over 150 properties have been placed under evacuation order. When it started last night, its position on a hillside made it highly visible to nearby residents. Wildfire Service say no structural damage has been reported so far, though 15 residential properties have been "tactically evacuated."
