Credit Suisse Group AG Chief Executive Tidjane Thiam is leaving the Swiss bank, succumbing to pressure over a spying scandal that has engulfed the lender. Hired in 2015 as a banking industry outsider to shake up Credit Suisse, Mr. Thiam will leave next week. He will be replaced by veteran Swiss banker Thomas Gottstein, indicating a return to the bank’s roots after two decades of American and French CEOs. Mr. Thiam, 57, was born in Ivory Coast and is a French national.
