A new, exceptionally wild one suggests that Daenerys Targaryen’s dark and horrible twist in the latest episode wasn’t we thought it was. As she heard the bells of surrender toll, she makes up her mind to kill everyone in King’s Landing and burn the whole city to the ground. Why did the makers choose to keep her face away from the viewers at such a pivotal moment in her story? To make sure that Dany comes across as the Mad Queen, he ‘wargs’ into Drogon and sets King’s Landing on fire. Its only after we see the identical scene of Brans vision from an earlier season of Drogon’s shadow flying over King’s Landing that Drogon changes directions and starts lighting everyone up.
