Traffic is being diverted down SH36, Tauranga, after a crash on SH29A, police say. Tauranga traffic is backed up after a crash on one of the city’s highways. Police were told about a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 29A about 6.10pm on Thursday, a police spokeswoman said. The crash happened between Takitimu Drive and Pyes Pā Road, police said. There was also an earlier crash on State Highway 29A, between the roundabout with SH36 and Barkes Corner roundabout, Sunlive reported.
