Crash closes SH16 in West AucklandCHRISTEL YARDLEY/FAIRFAX NZ A stretch of State Highway 16, south of Kumeu, was closed after a crash. A section of West Auckland's State Highway 16 was closed for nearly two hours after a serious crash. The two-car incident happened just south of Kumeu, at 2.43pm, and left two people injured. The New Zealand Transport Association described the crash as "serious", tweeting that drivers in the area should follow the directions of emergency services on scene and expect delays.
