The Cowboys have agreed to acquire defensive end Robert Quinn from the Miami Dolphins for a sixth-round draft pick in a trade to bolster the Dallas pass rush while the club works on a long-term contract for DeMarcus Lawrence. Gregory is suspended indefinitely, but the Cowboys are hopeful he can be reinstated before the season. The Cowboys have put the franchise tag on Lawrence for the second straight year. In his only season with Miami, he was part of a defence that ranked 29th and allowed a franchise-record 6,257 yards. If he doesn’t sign the one-year tender under the franchise tag, Lawrence can skip off-season workouts without being fined.
