Today marked the next stage of the government's roadmap back to freedom with a number of restrictions lifted amid sunny weather. Latest statistics - correct up to March 25 - show that coronavirus case rates have risen in 43 per cent of England's 315 local areas. A fall in infections has been registered in 172 (55 per cent) locations, and eight (two per cent) are unchanged. This is equivalent to 235.4 cases per 100,000 people, according to data from the PA news agency - up from 189.7 per 100,000.
