LONDON—By the middle of this year, all adults in Britain are due to be offered a Covid-19 vaccine in what is on course to be the fastest inoculation rollout in a major Western country. No vaccine is 100% effective and no population will be totally inoculated. The whole adult population in England is expected to be offered a Covid-19 shot by the end of July. Children won’t be immunized, allowing the virus to freely circulate among about a fifth of the population. “Nineteen percent of the U.K. population is 12.9 million," he said.
